AGM 2017 Wednesday 10th May 2017, 8.15pm at Impulse Leisure - new roles at the club
As well as the traditional roles of Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary, we are keen to get as many involved in running the club. To this we are seeking to create some roles Might you be interested in taking one of the roles on? We have included a brief description of what will generally be required. It is not final and may well be amended in discussions at the AGM or at Committee Meetings. Please use the form to the left to let us know if you are interested. If you are unable to attend the AGM you can still express an interest. The full agenda for the AGM is below the form to the left
Roles and job descriptions – FIRST DRAFT
Team Manager (might also be the Team Captain?)
To be responsible for the behavior of players in both our own fixtures and at tournaments. Ensure that all players keep to the rules of walking football and the “Respect” protocols. To select teams for tournaments from those who are wishing to take part. Develop players so that they can play walking football to the best of their individual ability. To lead by example in playing the game fairly, to the rules and in good spirit. To attend committee meetings and give feedback there on the players, the team and any matters that will aid the smooth running of the team. To be present at the A.G.M.
To be responsible for keeping an up to date fixture list. To liaise with Sussex F.A. and Impulse Leisure to book fixtures on behalf of the committee. To attend committee meetings and the A.G.M.
Social and fund raising co-ordinator
To organise quarterly social evenings and the Christmas Party/Player of the Year events. To organise any social or fund raising that the Committee wish to undertake. To promote walking football to the local community. Proactively with the agreement of the Committee to fund raise for specific items for the club. To attend committee meetings and the A.G.M. Kit & Equipment co-ordinator
To ensure that all players wear appropriate footwear and clothing to play walking football. To ensure that tournament players “wear the colours”. Proactively with the agreement of the Committee to purchase items needed to play walking football. To attend committee meetings and the A.G.M.
To monitor the wellbeing of all players and committee members. To mentor and support players who may be suffering an injury. To act, if requested as a “go-between” to raise matters raised by an individual to the Team Manager/Committee. To attend committee meetings and the A.G.M.
To use and update the present Weebly website or to create a new website from scratch. To post messages, reports, pictures, videos and news about the club. To send out by email messages to the players as requested by the Chairman, or Team Manager or the combined committee. To attend committee meetings and the A.G.M.
