Pitch Bookings September 2017 - September 2018
Apologies for the delay in confirming pitch venues for the coming season. We have listened to your comments and factored in the direction we want the club to go and opportunities, dialogue and future collaborations between Walking Football governing bodies Andrew d other teams in our area. The aim being 'to be a club that is active in the development of our sport, in the area and in the community'.
From Sunday 3rd September 2017
Culver Road will be our home ground on Sunday mornings. We will have a 60 minutes or a 90 minute game time. Start time throughout the year is 9.00am to 10.00am. An extra 30 minutes is added, either to the beginning, 8.30am start, or at the end, 10.30 finish.
We recognize that we are asking members to be flexible for start and finish times. However we do anticipate to have the majority of our games that start at 9.00am and finish at 10.30am.
We will send notification a week in advance through our Facebook page as well a published calendar for the year.
We do ask that players arrive early enough to warm up and start at the designated times.
Throughout the year we will use this time to play games between ourselves, as we have always done. We are also keen to host friendly games or league games with local teams from our area. Any friendly or league games we organise throughout the year will use the 8.30am start. The large pitch at Culver will enable us to play two separate games.
From Wednesday 6th September 2017
Wednesday evenings will be 60 minutes play at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre. Start time is 7.00pm.
Again we do ask that players arrive early enough to warm up and start at the designated times.

"Everyone was also really welcoming, which helped immensely as, being a new person, you're never quite sure of the reception you'll get, but the smiles and friendly 'hellos' I got from all the folks was lovely, so you obviously engender a competitive, but not too much, atmosphere within the club …… "
We play on Sunday mornings, 9.30am until 11.30am (sometimes 9.30am until 11.00am) on 3G at the HQ of Sussex F.A. in Culver Road, Lancing and Thursday evenings 7.00pm until 8.00pm on 3G at Culver Road . We pay £3.50 per session. See maps to the locations to the lower right on this page
Entering tournaments is an important part of our group but so is the original "pitching up" to play on a Sunday morning or Thursday evening. We will continue to enter teams into tournaments but never want to lose that feeling of just popping along for a game. We encourage the playing of walking football for its own sake as well as fielding teams in competitions

"I'm absolutely loving it and really miss it on the occasions when I can't make it to the games. There's such a positive buzz about the whole set up and everyone is tremendously welcoming and tolerant of the shortcomings of other players. A misplaced pass is met with banter and amusement rather than irritation of frustration which is a great comfort to less gifted players (such as me!) ... "
